Utah State Bar sends photo of topless woman to every lawyer in the state

The Utah State Bar is full of shame after sending a photo of a topless woman to every lawyer in the state as part of an email to advertise their spring convention.

Attorneys from across The Beehive State were taken aback at about 3 p.m. Monday after they were sent an image advertising the 2018 convention in St. George that featured a picture of a woman’s bare chest.

“We are aware of the situation,” Bar communications director Matt Page told the Salt Lake Tribune, “We’re investigating how it got out.”

Page said he created the email advertising the convention but has no idea how the photo of the topless woman was also added before it was sent to the masses.

Some lawyers posted the email on Twitter, with one saying he opened the email while he was working on the House floor at the state capitol, the outlet reports.

“We are horrified,” said John Baldwin, executive director of the Bar, told Fox 13, “We are investigating to discover how this occurred. Our goal is to find out what happened and insure it never happens again.”

The Bar realized the mistake about 30 minutes after the email was initially sent and apologized on their social media channels.
