Muscovites walking amid hurricane-strength winds in the Russian capital were sent running for cover when they were chased by portable toilets.
A video captured just over 500 yards from Red Square in Moscow shows pedestrians running for cover Friday as powerful winds send the portable toilets skidding across the streets and sidewalks.
“On Red Square. Even the toilets are fleeing from the murderous regime,” Twitter user EugeneDX14 wrote in posting the video to the social media site.
The footage shows the toilets pass right by the Moscow Museum of Archaeology and the Museum of the 1812 War with Napoleon as pedestrians scramble to avoid being struck by the runaway potties.
The sight of blue boxes traveling down the road drew inevitable comparisons to Doctor Who’s TARDIS on Twitter.
“When Tardises go bad,” @DavidWiddick quipped.
Moscow was struck by severe storms Friday that included lightning and hurricane-strength winds.
