The folks in the small town of Leawood, Kansas all know Officer Oliver. He’s wanted to be in law enforcement from the time he was three years old.
Oliver is now 5 years old. The adorable, blonde boy patrols his streets with dedication and commitment making sure to keep his neighborhood safe, by ensuring that drivers are staying within the speed limit.
He hops on his police motorcycle, with radar gun in hand, and rarely takes a day off. He even has his own citations which read: “Oliver just gave you a ticket.”
Oliver says when a grown-up officer showed him around a police car one day, he was hooked. He knew from that day forward he wanted to spend his life keeping the streets safe from the bad guys. Metro law enforcement’s new secret weapon has his cuffs ready to go in case any of them come around.
Oliver was able to hone his skills during ‘hours of training’ with veteran officers throughout the metro area.
He got a police uniform for Christmas, but Oliver’s mom tells Fox 4 that he wore that one out so they had to get a few more. People recognize him everyone they go, she says. Oliver wears his uniform to pre-school, the grocery store and all around town.
The pint-sized officer says he will most certainly still be a cop when he grows up.
