Boys receive firefighter honor for saving their grandfather

The Alexandira Fire Department honored two boys, Cameron, 8, and Carter, 5, for saving their grandfather.

Frederick Temple, 64, was trapped in his vehicle after it shot off road and through the edge of the woods.

The young boys climbed through the windows of the flipped car, and ran through the forest to get help.

Rescue crews say the boy’s quick thinking saved his life. The boys were awarded junior firefighter status as well as their very own fire hats.
